Main Line Lighting & Design's Shipping Policy


At Main Line Lighting & Design, your satisfaction is our #1 priority, and we take pride in providing you with fast, dependable and safe delivery services. Each order is shipped using one of our 2 standard methods - whichever one is best suited for your order.

Please be advised that we cannot ship any merchandise to PO Box addresses.

1) Standard ground - Small Parcel.
Most small-to-medium sized orders 99.00 and above will ship *FREE using UPS or Fed Ex Ground Services. Shipments usually arrive 1-6 business days from the time they leave either our warehouse or the factory warehouse. Please note that even if the item is in stock at the warehouse, it could take 2-3 weeks for the items to leave the warehouse as the factories often have minimum order requirements. *Free shipping is available on most (not all) orders over 99.00 and only applies to standard ground shipping. In most cases free shipping does not apply to truck freight, oversized items or items out of the standard shipping area. There may be circumstances where we cannot ship your items for free. Main Line Lighting & Design reserves the right to advise you via phone or email if free shipping is not available on your order, and will place your order on hold until you approve of the new shipping terms. For orders below $99.00, the charge shown is only an estimate and we will advise the customer of the exact shipping charges. The customer will have the opportunity to cancel the order if they do not approve the actual shipping charges.

(Note: While Main Line Lighting & Design does not require a signature on small parcel deliveries, it is ultimately up to the driver's discretion. If delivery without a signature is desired, it is advised you leave a note on the door with appropriate instructions.)

Expedited Shipping Services are available including, Next Day, 2-Day, 3-Day Services at the customer's expense. Main Line Lighting & Design will not be liable for expedited shipping charges due to delay in the lead time of an order. Expedited shipping services are offered only to speed up the Transit Time. We have no control over the in-house time of an order (time prior to shipment) and do not guarantee or promise delivery dates. Therefore, we request that our customers plan ahead and place timely orders that allow for both in-house and the transit time. Lead times represent the AVERAGE time frame a manufacturer is shipping their product and are not to be taken as a guarantee. PLEASE NOTE: Expedited shipping charges shown on our website are only an estimate. You will be advised of the EXACT charges for shipping Next Day, 2-day or 3-day and will have the opportunity to approve the shipping charges before your order is processed. You have the right to cancel your order if you do not wish to proceed.

2) Truck Freight - Large items
Larger items will ship via "truck freight". Every manufacturer has their own terms based on the dollar amount of the order to determine whether they will ship the item via "truck freight" free to the customer. If and only if your order is large enough to warrant free freight from the manufacturer, your truck order will ship to you free of freight charges. If your order falls below the manufacturer's minimum and the only way to ship your item is via truck, someone from our sales staff will contact you ASAP to advise you of shipping costs, and it will be up to you to either agree to the terms or cancel your order. Items shipped truck freight are delivered to curbside or driveway only. For any additional delivery needs or questions, please contact our sales professionals at 610-644-5400. Truck freight orders require that someone is available to accept the delivery. Most carriers will contact you to set up a delivery time, usually a 2-4 hour appointment window during normal business hours. If the carrier is unable to contact the customer, the customer will then be responsible for any storage fees, freight charges back to the manufacturer in addition to the original shipment expense.

3) In-store Pickup
A customer may choose to make a purchase placed online available for pickup at our store. If you wish to pick up your purchase, we will contact you via phone or email when your product is ready.

Estimated transit time
We will try to let you know the estimated lead time for your order. Once the order has left the factory or our facility, the estimated transit time is as follows:
Standard Ground: 1-6 Days
Truck Freight: 2-7 Days
You also have the option of choosing Next Day, 2 day or 3 day delivery at your cost. The price for expedited shipping that comes up on your order is only an estimate. We will provide you with the exact cost and you have the right to accept these charges, or change or cancel your order.

Outside the 48 States
If you are shipping outside the 48 states, including Hawaii, Alaska or any international shipments, please call our sales staff at 610-644-5400 or email michelle.mainlinelighting@gmail.com to discuss shipping options.

Remote Locations
Orders being delivered to a remote location may incur an additional remote location fee. Remote location fees are determined by carrier based on zip / postal code and those charges will be added to your order. You will be advised of these charges before your order is processed.

About Estimated Shipping Times
At Main Line Lighting & Design, we do our best to provide you with accurate shipping times for our products. This is an estimate of the average number of business days it takes the manufacturer to process your order and ship the item from their warehouse. These shipping times are not a guarantee. If you have a time sensitive project we recommend that you call a sales specialist at 610- 644-5400 or email michelle.mainlinelighting@gmail.com and arrange expedited shipping.

Products marked "In Stock" are items that we have in stock or the manufacturer has provided us a real- time inventory feed for. Even if items are "in stock", free freight items usually will take 2-3 weeks to receive since we need to place minimum orders with the factory. If you are in a rush, please contact us and we can let you know the cost to have in-stock items ship within 2-3 days. These products are subject to prior sale and availability, and lead times are not guaranteed.

Occasionally, items shown to be in stock or available get pre sold. In this case, you will be sent a email notification that your item is on backorder and you have the option to continue to wait for that item, cancel your order for a full refund, or select a different item to order. Custom made products can have varying ship times and we recommend ordering custom products well in advance to avoid project delays.
